New for 2026 · Dennis Port
The Backyard by Foley’s
A massive, family-friendly outdoor bar — live music, lawn games, and food trucks.
📍 645 Main Street, Dennis Port, MA · Open in Google Maps
If you’re looking for one of the most exciting new spots on Cape Cod this year, this is it — one of the most interesting openings of 2026. The Backyard by Foley’s comes from the team behind JJ Foley’s Cafe, a Boston institution, and brings that same easygoing energy to a sprawling 35,000-square-foot open-air space in the heart of Dennis Port.
It’s exactly the kind of place we love to send guests: casual, laid-back, and genuinely family-friendly. There’s live music, plenty of room to spread out, lawn games for the kids (and the grown-ups), rotating food trucks, and a big sail-covered main bar with lounge seating and sofas. Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and make your own kind of night out of it — and yes, it’s dog friendly, so the whole family can come along.

🎶 What to expect
Three Zones, One Big Backyard
The space is built around three distinct areas so everyone finds their spot — grab a drink at the main bar, challenge the family to cornhole, or pull up a chair near the stage when the music starts.
The Main Bar
A 5,000-square-foot, sail-covered bar with lounge seating and sofas — the social heart of the space.
The Game Zone
Cornhole and lawn games for a little friendly competition — kid- and adult-approved.
The Stage Zone
Live music paired with rotating food trucks — the spot to settle in as the evening rolls on.
Getting There & Parking
The best part: you can practically walk from Shore Thing.
There’s an on-site parking lot, but as with any hot new spot, it fills up fast in season — and finding a space can be a bit of a hassle on a busy summer night. The good news? If you’re staying at our Shore Thing cottages, it’s so close you can simply walk over and skip the parking altogether — or grab a quick taxi or rideshare and leave the car at the cottage.
🗓️ Seasonal spot: The Backyard is an open-air, summer-season destination — hours and event schedules shift with the weather and the calendar, so it’s worth checking their latest before you head over.
